Has anyone here ever successfully activated some work-related material without having done any MindMapping?

And can anyone suggest a good way to activate other than MMing? I mean, doing multiple passes is OK with me but I can't stand doing MMaps.

Arde,

First let me say that mindmaps are incredibly beneficial, and that your avoidance of them shouldn't be out of frustrationg; they're really a great tool that would be of incredible asset to you if you get the hang of it.

With that said, I don't use them with my PRing =)

I use it during class, and perhaps, if I decide to take notes on a book, but as far as activating goes, I have and still do activate successfully without it.

However, it should be noted that almost everything I activate is activated via rapid reading, so a mindmap may be more crucial if your a superread and dip kind of person.

I'm experimenting right now with SR+Dipping without mindmapping, and am doing okay, so while I think it would help you to do a mindmap, I've gotten away without it.

Results vary between people, so you're a better judge of what works for you. Play with it.

I use Image Streaming. When I read its normally at the library so I dont have paper or room to write, its just easier.
