What do you need to use the brainwave generator? I don't have a home computer anymore, so I was wondering what the system requirements would be, so I can get a new system for my new place. I haven't tried bwgen at all yet, so I don't know what it does. Do you need a good sound card, video?

That's funny, I didn't see the system requirements on the website. But it is simple shareware and my guess is ANY computer sold today can run this with ease.

You will need one thing though: a good pare of headphones.. the kind that fit over your ears. As well as some place to get comfortable by your computer.

Bwgen, unlike mind machines, is just audio entrainment, so no use for a video card.

It does have a strobing effect in the options menu. I dont know if that is what you were referring to.

True, you can make your whole computer screen flash at a designated rate. ..but that's rather silly because most of the effect of visual entrainment comes from the fact that it takes up the entire field of vision. This is known as the Ganzfield Effect. It deadens the sense--whichever sense--by providing a ubiquitous repeating signal.

Also, if you own a mind machine with audio strobe such as the Orion or the Proteus, you can use the goggles that come with them in conjunction with the bwgen. I occasionally do this--a very neat feature.

If you make the strobe full screen and have your room otherwise completely dark I'd expect It would enhance it's effective field of vision.

I have the BWGen now, and I've only really used the sleep induction to try to get more restful sleep, but it doesn't seem to be working. I tried it once at the preset, then adjusted to make it last a total of one hour.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
