Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer How would i benefit from Photo Reading

Hi-
I'm 13 years old. tonight i saw an infomercial on photoreading. Now, about an hour later, i am on this web site thinking that this would be the coolest thing to know how to do. I would like to know few things before i try to save up for it though... would it make school easier? like homework and such? how long does it take to learn? would this be a life long skill that i would benefit from by starting now, at a young age? and lastly, is it really worth $245?

I'm sure these are questions you get a lot but please answer them. thanks a lot.

If I had photoreading when I was 13, things would be very different right now.

It really depends on your work ethic, though. Right now, I use photoreading all the time, but I'm a horrible procrastinator. The result is that while I can read through material fast, I'm still doing it at the last minute, and with even less time, since I know I can get through it faster.

So, assuming you have a good work ethic:

School will get easier in that you'll read thigns much faster. Won't help you on skill related subjects like math though, IMHO. People will argue that point, but I personally don't go with it.

Life long skill that you would benefit from starting now. Definately.

Is it worth $245? This is a tough question, actually. See, they sell the book separately. They also sell paraliminal tapes separately. The drop-off goes something like this:

*Live Seminar: You will learn the course.
*Home Study: You'll probably learn the course, but not everyone learns it as fast as others, and people have a tendency to give up.
*Book alone: It's possible to learn the system this way, but it has the lowest success rate.

Live seminar is something like $700, the homes study is $245, and the book alone is I think like, $20.

The thing is, if you don't learn it from the book, you'll have a tendency to think that it's the system that doesn't work, and you'll give up. That would be unfortunate.

So, you know your situation. Pick an option that is reasonable to you, although I think the course is worth it, it wouldn't be worth it to someone who learned it from the book, know what I mean?

-read faster
-better prepared for labs
-you get more into the lectures becuae you've preped and understand the structure already
-i've been experiencing spontaneous activation every lecture--you know, a moment of clearity when the stuff that the lecturer says make SOO MUCH sense to you, when you pay undivided atention to him.

and DANG!! the dreams i have everyday are SOO vivid....i don't think there is a sleep cycle that i have gone throught that i didn't remember my dreams

however, as vivid as my dreams are i do not know how to use that to my advantage YET

dream analysis doesn't seem to be covered in the PR book....any idea where i can get some info on that besides paying a fortune to go to a seminar?

but hey, if you ask me to demonstrate what pete demonstrated on the PR informercial i still have to say i can't do it yet

I'm also 13, and let me tell you, IT IS WAY WORTH YOUR TIME, and MONEY to get the self-study course, or even the seminar. I, on the other hand, have made all of my progress with the book. I would recommend getting it. If you have any problems, give LSC(Learning Strategies Corporation), an e-mail, and they'll give you free, unlimited coaching.

NOTE: Dream analysis, and understanding can be found through a book I read a few weeks ago called Decoding Your Dreams, by Robert Langs. Teaches you TONS of stuff about the dream levels, symbolism, and how to use that to your advantage.

I'm still new to PhotoReading, IMO, but so far I've read about 12-13 different books in the past month. It's a lot of fun, and a lot of inspiration for the future. My grades were in the 30's, and 40's, and now they're all well near A's. In fact, all of them are 85 or higher except for one, and that's barely under it.

Buy the book, if you can't afford anything else!! More importantly:JUST FIND A WAY TO LEARN IT.

I should point this out...I don't think I would've done it without the book, but I've also done speedreading before, so there was a great deal of "unlearning" I had to do before I could photoread...so that would add to the difficulty in learning PRing.

so if i got the book and tried to learn photo reading from that you would all try to help me out? i might just have to. pr seems to good to pass up. but which would you pick? i have about $120 right now and my birthday is coming up so i might have a chance at getting the home study course. Please help me decide! thanks!

oh, and a few more questions:how much detail do you pick up from photo reading a book? like would it take the fun out of reading a novel by only letting you know what the plot and a few major events are? and could you start picking up more detail as time goes on? thanks.

Some people have done well with the book alone, I don't know if I personally could have, and a previous contributor Andy, bought the book, had problems, bought the course, then as the course was on the way to his house, he finally figured it out. Then the course got to his place, he gave it a listen, decided it didn't really help him (since he got it already) and returned the course.

So really, I don't know what would best work for you. Results vary SOOO much.

I *guess* I could recommend starting with the book and the Memory Optimzer paraliminal tape. This total will cost probably less than 60 bucks including the S&H. Then go on the forum and search for your questions in the archives, and if they haven't been answered yet, ask on the forum.

But if you have problems, you have to promise your friend Ramon and Uncle Pete Bisonnette that you won't give up, and perhaps try the course instead, when you get the money. The system does work great, but the book has a considerably lower success rate, and will take more work.

I would highly recommend PRing to everyone. I just got home from a math test and I already know I aced it . PRing is great for any kind of reading. I love it especially since I have to read a ton for programming. Hope to see you on the forums.
