I meant that in a "Samurai Zen" kind of way. A sort of ... 'militant' spirituality, I guess is the word for it. An urgent and yet sustainable flow of ceaseless action. One that doesn't drain one of vitality but invigorates one.
A westerner who starts the day with a large cup of coffee, then another at lunch, perhaps more, burns off all his vitality. We can say that he is in a flow state of sorts. But he's working very fast and efficiently at the expense of the second half of his day. By 5 PM, he's a dead man. He's burned up all his energy and must nap for a while as the hare did in the fable.
If you can simultaneously maintain that sense of driving urgency *and* and keep your vitality high, ... you've got the best of both worlds, no?
A rabbit that keeps going and going and going...
