Hi
Can anyone assure me that the paraliminal tapes are safe for my 11 yr old? I am planning to get her the Personal Genius, Memory Supercharger and the Self Esteem Supercharger? Do you think that these tapes are safe and easy to use for children her age and will she really benefit from them? How soon will I be able to see some noticeable difference in her? I want her to be more confident and learn more efficiently. Please advice.

I have read and listened to reports stating that Paraliminals are fine for 11 yrs olds or children in generally. I notice that you want to notice noticeabe results. Isn't it better that the listener notices or has the results? Otherwise what do you expect ?

Those tapes are great for youngsters. The time is short and the language simpler to understand.

Your daughter might not be able to notice the effects--they might be out of her awareness. So see what you notice in her. You might notice a different attitude, a calmness, a willingness to study--look for any indication.

The best indication is that she enjoys listening. That's half of the battle!

I've had excellent results. I feel focused and concentrated after listening to the tape. It will help your daughter tremendously.

Chip725,
You're the only 13 year old I've heard of that is interested in accelerated learning.
Are you some kind of nerd? (no offense)

GK: The paraliminal tapes can be immensely beneficial to your child, if shared in a spirit of encouragement and belief in the child's ability.

Although my own early conditioning has (so far) been an obstacle to my receiving full benefits from the tapes, my daughter has enjoyed and benefitted from them. My approach is always to affirm that she HAS all the innate abilities she needs to accomplish her goals, and that the tapes will help to release this potential.

Particularly if your child is having difficulties, it is essential that you first convince yourself--and then communicate to your child--that he/she IS sufficiently intelligent and capable to succeed. "I believe in you" is the primary message; the tapes may then be a useful tool in demonstrating this to your child.

Chip: As Win Wenger points out (his writings include many techniques for increasing intelligence and improving performance), it is the more intelligent people--rather than those who "need" it the most--who are interested in improving their IQ and performance.

You do sound more intelligent, and more self-aware, than the "typical" 13-year-old. More power to you! I hope that you will never be dissuaded from your pursuits by terms like "nerd." Keep up the great work!

xiaosam: Only the brighter (or at least more self-aware) folks I've known--whether 13 or 31--seem to be interested in these things.

I'm sure your post was well-intended (probably meant as a good-natured joke), but I was concerned that the term "nerd" might strike a nerve.

It takes a number of years for most of us to develop the psychological "rhinoceros hide" necessary to weather the slings and arrows of the anti-intellectual climate in which we live. I always try to encourage these bright young minds, because a veritable minefield of discouragement awaits them.

"May all beings be enlightened."

Hi Shinsei
Thanks a ton for your words of encouragement. My daughter has started using the tapes and finds it absolutely enjoyable! I find that she is more relaxed and doing well in terms of learning and memory. She is basking in her newly found confidence and self esteem and that makes me one hell of a proud mother! Thanks for your kind words and also to LS for their wonderful products.

I assure you Chip and Shinsei that my post was a good natured joke. I am only 16 myself and I agree that the world needs more bright young minds.
