1) Is it important to keep your mind blank while PRing or do conscious thoughts block absorption of material?
2) Although, I can't focus clearly on words during PRing, I tend to see the pictures somewhat clear. Is this okay? I feel that I can keep my mind from picking them up by flipping as fast as I can in a comfortable state. Is this best?

Thanks in advance.

you should keep your mind reletively clear that is if you find yourself starting to halucinate the gently move yourself back

don't focus on the pictures concentrate on white space and the four corners....my peripheral vision have opened up so much that i don't even focus on just the four corners anymore im aware of all the object on my desk.....the key is divergence!

Extraneous thoughts during the photoreading step is a big problem for me as well. I find my mind wandering from worrying about turning the pages without missing any to what's for dinner. Any tips on how to reduce distractions would be appreciated.

Paul, Pete, or Dana: Can you add some light to this? Thanks.

I had a problem with this also. Here is what I do:

During my 3-2-1, I tell myself the following at no. 2: "Any outside distraction will cause me to get deeper into state." After a couple of times, my mind stayed focused.

Another thing I do, which was suggested by another poster, is to play music, preferrably Baroque or similar. It's not always practical, but it seems to help.

Anytime I get a distracting thought, I will thank myself for being concerned, but this is the time I set aside for pr and that I will come back to that distraction later. I found that if you get upset with yourself, the distractions get worse; much like a child, who, when being ignored, only gets louder. Actually, it was Paul Scheele who suggested this at one of the pr classes he taught.

I sure there are many other suggestions that others might have that will also work. Hope this helps.

Perfect advice, you guys.

The PhotoReading step is difficult to do incorrectly.

* 3-2-1
* affirm concentration, impact, desired end result
* Photofocus with the tangerine and allow the blip page to emerge
* awareness on the outside white margins and 4 corners
* turn a page per second in steady rhythm and comfortable pace
* 4-3-2-1 Re-lax -chant
* closing affirmations from page 51.
* acknowledge feelings and invite curiosity

Dana,

You say that the photoreading step is difficult to do incorrectly but I still have some confusion about it. I have no problem with the blip page, I'm getting better at turning the pages, I do the chants as done on the tapes, I'm even more relaxed during this step, but my mind still wanders constantly.

Is it ok for my mind to wander during this step? or in order for the PR step to work, does my mind have to stay focused on the photoreading? If you can answer that question it will help me a lot in trying to get this system to work for me.

Thanks,

Michael

I've actually talked to people while doing the PR step. Afterward, it was the same as any other book. Your mind does not need to be focused AS MUCH during PR, as it does during Activation.
