In the Princeton Review courses, they tell students NOT to read the text. Students have a very hard time with this because it's non-intuitive. Just like PhotoReading, they ask you to unlearn years of condition.
They tell you to read the question, then skim quickly through the text to find the specific answer. The Princeton Review course offers tips that sound A LOT like "trigger words" and "rhythmic skimming," etc. Basically, you pick a few trigger words from the question, skim the text until you find those words and read when necessary. Sounds like super reading and dipping, no? Photo Reading is directly applicable to standardized tests.
