I am just curious to if Photoreading about a page per second or two is the most ideal? For beginners (until they get used to it) is it alright to spend as much as 3-4 seconds on two pages? I am still getting used to just focusing on the white space on the two pages opened up in front of me. Thank you.

In my opinion (which doesn't say much) I would say that spending 3-4 seconds in the beginning is okay provided you don't at any point consciously read any of the words.

I would suggest PRing upside to help counteract that problem, though I'd still try to aim towards 1-2 seconds if you can.

I found that when I tried to turn the page every second or two, I got too hung up on turning the pages. If pages stuck together or I had trouble turning them, it drove me nuts and I lost focus. I starting not caring how long it took to turn the page, sometimes one sec - sometimes five sec, and I found I am much more relaxed during the PR step. I still haven't gotten the system to work for me but at least I feel as if I'm making progress.

Actually, according to the study course, don't worry about how fast you turn the pages. Just do what feels comfortable.
