when you try to imagine the tangerine technique, does that automatically register to ur brain and so u don't have to focus on it all the time? i have to contantly remind myself that things are going behind the scene and i think i'm expecting too much for an outside miracle to happen.
I would have guessed it was just a tool to help you start focussing. It takes a lot of concentration of perceive the imagined. Kind of a focussing warmup. You do the same one all the time, and soon you slide effortlessly in to a focussed mind state.
Well LCS, am I right or is there something more significant with the tangerine?

According to the PR book on page 27, Paul speaks about that particular spot as the best place to focus attention. I've notices with myself over the years that when I'm deep in concentration reading, my free hand often seems to find its way to the top back of my head where my fingers play with my hair. Most times I'm not even aware that I'm doing it, wierd huh.
Does anyone know why that's the 'best' spot for reading? I find when I am very involved in a daydream, then the tingling feeling is actually over the top middle section of the head. Has it to do with which part of the brain is active during these activities?
