Hi Folks,
I recently completed both natural brilliance, ideal mindset and photoreading book and would like to enquire how i may best do direct learning.I would like to do direct learning to improve my listening skills. I have created my own direct learning tape using Paul Scheel's script in the NB book (chapter 10) and am waiting for my books on listening to arrive
Question 1: My question is, how long should i be photoreading these books and visualizing my success/process of doing this new behaviour before i can move on to another direct learning skill/behaviour? I plan to photoread the books on listening every other day and then use my self-created tape, maybe do this for a month until i can notice new changes. Is it better to then move on to something else (a new ability like time management) to direct learn or to continue with just this one to build on further changes?
I am pretty new to the whole arena of accelerated learning but am verry curious about it, particularly memory improvement as one specific sub-category. I have Tony Buzan's books on memory, mind-mapping, and recently did a search on amazon, turning up a whole slew of books by individuals like Dane Spotts (SuperBrain Power), Ronald Gross (Peak Learning) Scott Witt (How to be Twice as Smart),Anna Wise (High Performance Mind), Colin Penfield Rose (Accelerated Learning for the Twenty first century), to name a few. Thanks to Paul Scheele's book, i am a photoreader now activating regularly but i would like to go further ahead in the future. Second Question: Which of these books/authors are worth checking into i wonder? I understand that the Genius Code is forthcoming and also have read something of a memory training course underway by Learning Strategies.
Third Question: Would a combination of those two (Genius Code and Learning Strategies future memory course)meet my lifelong accelerated learning needs, or should I further my own self-learning by getting several of those books? What about direct learning on memory (anyone tried that yet) ? Any pointers guys and gals?
