1) I am pretty decent, I have only been doing it for a few months (since Jan.)
2)I personally have not worked with an instructor. I like to teach myself, I learn faster and have a better understanding that way. I actually recomend you call in tho.
3) I used the book, but I recomend that you use the course because it has a higher sucess rate. I was a lucky booker.
4) hmmmmmm
5)Well, you ordered the course, so use the course. The course has a higher success rate anyways and you will get beyond beginner skills. If you dont like it, SELL IT ON EBAY (jk )
6)NO, use the course. the course rocks, the course is your god.

No No - you read it wrong. I have ordered the BOOK, not the course. Course far too expensive in Australian Dollars for a trial run. Even if I decided to sell it off my loss would be much greater than the cost of the book.

Process: Buy book (cheap) - Be amazed - Want more - Buy course (with more confidence).

Bill/

I got the course 1 month ago but found myself falling into it easily thanks to realising that I was more or less doing it already.

Book is an excellent move. I dove in and bought the course with the attitude "make it work!" Mostly I have fun with it and learn a new skill. It not life or death. Course costed me Au$560 (incl convers fee) at extange rate in Feb. you can buy it in Australia price is AU$595 + $10 postage. Live course is available in Aust $295

If you're really concerned then do Live course you can 'milk' the instructors LOL.

What you really get out of it is what you put into it. Whether you want to or not you do live up to 'your' expectations. (AlexK)

I'm pleased to have purchased the tapes.. I know I can call on them when it suits me. The only way I could consider them a waste is if I didn't use them. Heck thats a challenge for me in itself... I'm 93% deaf.

With the information on the forum, the book and input from you, you can definately become a successful photoreader without purchasing the course.

Alex

PS I still purchase from the US just have to make sure your US purchases are less than about $250 US. Customs isn't interested in collecting GST amounts less than $50. I also compare and calculate what it's being sold here in Oz for and go for the cheaper option.
