1) I am pretty decent, I have only been doing it for a few months (since Jan.)
2)I personally have not worked with an instructor. I like to teach myself, I learn faster and have a better understanding that way. I actually recomend you call in tho.
3) I used the book, but I recomend that you use the course because it has a higher sucess rate. I was a lucky booker.

5)Well, you ordered the course, so use the course. The course has a higher success rate anyways and you will get beyond beginner skills. If you dont like it, SELL IT ON EBAY (jk
