Actually i bought PR course last year...about November. I failure to devolope the techique... but now i'm going to try again.. hope some of u can help me.
I'm wearing glass... i found dificilty to do photo focus with a glass... but its easy when i removed my glass... but i can only see the book clear by put my eye very near to the book...then i cant focus the edge of the pages. then ... as tape 1 side b say... about the first PR experience... we are suppose can recall some word from dictionary but may be the word is inversed pages or side.But i cant recall even one word. Last night i try and i success to recall only 1 word. I dont know it is success at first stage or not... or i still can contineu the next tape before i can recall more word form dictionary by pr. then .... my english is not good, in fact.. then i affaid i cant understand the book i pr..(the book is in english)...in fact, i'm affaid my mind dont know the word...
ok... this is some problem i meet at this stage.... i really hope some one can help me.I'm a medical student at first year.i'm quite busy and maybe i only can check this forum few days later...

Dont be afraid if about not understanding the book you PR, try pring a language conversion dictionary acouple times. The dictionary game will not always be suceeded at, so dont worry.

One guy a while back pr'ed a greek text book and had a dream that was all in greek that he didnt understand at all.

Basically, you dont need to understand it to store it.

May I suggest you try a dictionary in your own language? Just because an american english dictionay came with the course doesn't mean you have to use that one for the game.

I found that the american dictionary was not working for me... oh I got hits ok but I found myself spelling a word eg katy.. then thinking oh come on how bout a real word that starts with kat... nothing came to mind?. checked it in dictionary and yes there was one and only one word that started with kat...katydid but no other... then i thought of another word... common in the english language... no clue as to where it was located in the book... found myself getting annoyed that my mind refused to even guess where it might be in the book... so I looked it up and it wasn't in there. When it happened again with the word 'kingdom' my mind again refused to give me clue and again it wasn't in there. :-) I tossed the book over my shoulder where it landed I don't know.

After some reflection I realised that, My mind lived up to my expectations, exactly. When I first looked at the dictionary I had a thought at the back of my mind that this is not a suitable dictionary for me. And as a result it
1. threw up names of animals that ment nothing to me. (when I found katydid I thought, "great! bet I'll never see one of them here in Australia")

2. Proved my belief that it was an incomplete dictionary by throwing at me a couple of words that were missing.

3. Proved that PR does work because because my feelings for the missing words were very clear even though I became annoyed. Gave me hits of page number and weird animal names (weird to me OK? I'm rather fond of our giant grasshoppers aka kangaroo)

Does PR work or what? I arrived at the evidence that for me it does in a rather unlikely way. I had direct hits proving words that were common to me weren't in the book.

So I suggest be careful of what you are thinking before you get the results you subconsciously expect.

Keep trying both ways with and without the glasses one will work better than the other for you. It is something you have try out what works best for you.
