I know that this question was asked before, but I need a good reply about this. One of my entire life dreams was (well...actually is) to learn the entire encyclopedia. I have a large amount of interests and I like very much the culture in general. So I don't focus in anything in particular, I just want to learn the entire encyclopedia for the "taste of the knowledge".

How does photoread can handle this? Obviously I don't expect to be able to do this from start. I know that I must practice with Photoreading before doing this. I just want to know if it's possible and what amount of information I can take from it, and the amount of time that it would take with some practice (say 1 or 2 years of practice).

If you practice for 1-2 years doing PR daily, and fully activating around 20 books per month, you'd whiz through the encylcopedia. Probably take you about 2 hours for a moderate level of comprehension.

Thanks for the reply, youngprer. But how much information I can take in these 2 hours? If you're talking about an entire volume, that's great. In two or three days I can learn well an entire volume re-doing the activation every day for a couple hours.

But if you're talking about a couple of pages in two hours, that sounds bad. So the real problem is how much information I can obtain.

A reply from somebody from the company would be appreciated too!

Youll get some from dana soon, but, Photoreading is not just some mystical easter egg God hid in your brain. It takes consious effort, it will be faster and with better comprehension. You will not have the entire encyclopedia memorized, far from it. You may only be able to recall a few things, or tons of things. It all depends

Mastermind : Yeah, I know that. I never thought that Photoreading can give me photographic memory, that's unrealistic. but I'm seriously motivated with the encyclopedia thing. But I really don't know how to handle it.

okay, sorry. Its is pretty hard, kind of like the dictionary game for some.

Prepare and photoread like you would normally. Activate normally. Maybe come up with your own type of activation that you think would work better AS you are doing it.

I personally, with long books like encyclopedias, use page clumps to photoread and do that about 5 times then regular photoread. When you are doing that you are saying to yourself "OMG, this is too much, I hope I can handle it", so you doubt yourself and you cant.

Maucent:

Step One-
Photoread (without Preview) the Volume A.

Step Two-
Preview it while looking at the pictures and topics that interest you only. Skip over all the other stuff.

Step Three-
Stop previewing when you get tired. Keep going if you don't.

Step Four-
Once you finish all the topics in "A" that you are interested in, make a list of all the related topics and stories that seem to have a connection in some way.

For example, maybe the topic on the alphabet and the topic on Arabic numerals seem to connect because they are "Categorical systems of communication."

Step Five-
Be sure to not worry about memorizing at this point, just enjoy finding the bigger categories to fit all the smaller categories into. That's the fun part.

Step Six-
Once you get through with Volume A then move to Volume B, and so on. Or, just start with whatever volume that you want whether it's X or Z or whatever.

I'd start with a subject I was interested in. Maybe the subject of memorizing. Photoread "M" then do the same Steps I have given you.

I think you'll find that if you read it through this way, you'll have even more of a blast learning and widen the way you make connections between topics.

To add to the good tips from CommonSense,

- Do the full PhotoRead step (#3) on each volume once a day for one week.
- Activate one volume at a time in 30-minute passes. Do all the techniques. Dip into any topic you are interested in. Move through the entire volume beginning-to-end in each 30-minute pass, so you "burn in" new pathways into where the entire book was absorbed into your "other-than-conscious" mind.

Hey, thanks for the replies guys. Seems great stuff. But I'll start to practice it after taking the seminar, or maybe later. actually I've only readed the book.
