Hey! I know this is going to sound like a little bit of a run-around, but bare with me here.
The amount of time it takes depends entirely on the material (ie-length of text, number of pages, amount of illustrations, background knowledge I already have, etc.).
The photoread step continues to get faster and faster for me each time due to familiarity with the process. The activation step also continues to get easier as I better define what techniques I'll use to activate the material.
For example, I used the system to read Influence, the Psychology of Persuasion. It took me about 1.5 hours to get what I wanted out of it.
Gaiden, there are so many variables that others might read the book in 30 minutes depending on what they wanted to find out.
Just remember to keep your expectations realistic on the system. If you wanted to suggest a text to me that would be a good read to compare your "time" with mine that would be fine.
