After much deliberation I recently got round to actually reading my first book (photoreading that is). I followed the steps properly and allowed the material to incubate overnight and came out with several questions I wanted answered . . . But, here is the problem (if it is a problem) how do I test my comprehension level? During the super-reading stage I seemed to answer just about all of the questions I wanted answering but it seems I could have got just the same results from simply skimming the pages. I'm not trying to find fault here I just need solid proof that I'm doing it right before going further.

Anyway enough of that - I have two other questions to annoy you with. So here goes:

Incubation periods - can you have too long an incubation period? I mean if I don't get round to activating the book the day after photoreading would it make a difference if it was left for a week or even longer?

Impregnation of ideas - I have regular read books by authors who I simply cannot abide by, e.g. Marx, and while reading them have mentally criticised the ideas. Would photoreading in anyway put ideas into my mind that I already don't agree with? If I photoread Marx or Plato would the sh*t in the books possibly bypass my logical, critical brain (and my sanity in the process) and put ideas into my head that weren't there before?

You can not incubate too long. It will stay there.

Reading books like that will not bypass your mental logic system because as they bubble you, if you dont agree with them, you will consiously or subconsiously squelch them because they go against what you know and believe.

Many libraries have book testing for children and might have that option available for Stephen King books and etc. Check out your library or search the net for tests on the books

Thanks for the quick reply, it was just what I needed. I once again bow down to your mastery.
