Hi
I'm new here I just ordered the the in home study tapes. I have a problem with Dyslexia I went to search and could find nothing. I would like to know if people with Dyslexia have any problems with this course.

Thanks
Tallman

If you typed what you wrote and are able to regular read the post yourself, you shouldn't have any real difficulty using photoreading.

As a note page 30 of the book explains the technique that led to Pauls Skills as a photoreader was a way for dyslexics to overcome their reading handicap... IE. the method used for focus. Start your course by reading page 30 of the photoreading book I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Most of all I suggest you heed Pauls key advise "have fun with it". It does work, takes some longer than others but hey we're all individuals.

Good luck
Alex

Let me know if you have problems. I have 2 brothers who are dyslexic, youngest diagnosed in 1974... I honestly believe that you would find the photoread method a godsend compared to regular reading, if your problem is similar to his... having to spend too much time looking at a page starts the words moving into alphabet soup... if he were able to send the page to his subconscious for processing before it moved... hummmmm

Just a question though... can you see sterograms? (those hidden 3D pictures)? My brother can't... surprised the heck outta me when I found out that he can't even see our 'real' world in 3D.

Sorry, I have to disagree with you there the blind are physcially challenged and for some it will be impossible because they made up their mind for it to be impossible... we can't all walk on water... yet?

Walking on water is easy - provided it's frozen.

Thanks for the offer Alex I will keep it in mind I don't think that I can see the new 3D'S I tried but when I look at the answer and switch back I can't see it. As for the Blind I was wondering about that?

My brother had the 3D problem fixed with glasses... not the regular kind but plain lenses tinted for him it was a combo of yellow and touch of blue so they looked like sunglasses.

You might like to try an experiment with those new 3D's by putting different coloured tinted overhead films on top of the images you'll probably find one tint that helps you to see the 3D image. It's a learned skill... my brother relied on the glasses to learn to read (self taught) at age 23, he now reads without glasses although he admits that its more difficult when he's tired. They helped teach him to find the focus for regular reading.

It's actually a trick that anyone can try if they are having difficulty seeing the 3d images. Our perception changes when we look at something through different tints it will work best on images printed in black... even the colour ones from the web can be printed out in black and you still can find the image.

Also don't try seeing them on the computer screen... print them out... there is a technical reason why most people will fail to see them on a computer screen.

Cheers
Alex
