LS uses Night Walking in their NB course. I have to look it up, but it seems to me they suggested 17 inches for the length of the rod.
I learned to night walk 30 years ago when i used to walk the dogs at night, of course, at the time, i was clueless as to what i was doing. As far as i was concerned, i just found an easy way to walk in the dark.
