You know, your question is even overwhelming.

I once had a 800 pg. book on stuff i knew zip. I, too, experienced overwhelm. What i did was PhR the book every day for about 10 days. I was very conscientious to state affirmations and get into my quiet scene before and after.

Then, one day, i felt a total shift in my confidence & i started activating different places that were relevant to passing the certification exam. I ended up skipping hundreds of pages because my intuition or just peripheral vision told me to. I mindmapped all the rest though & studied them. It was said that only 11% pass that certification the first time & i did pass it the first time. But, i did intentionally get into the alpha level for taking the exam. Meaning, i carried everything i learned in the whole mind system over into the taking the test.

You have also done something unreasonable:

quote:
The problem is I have a 900 page technical book to digest for an exam. I previewed the book for 3-5minutes and felt so overwhelmed
900 pages and a 3-5 minute preview is disastrous. Anyone would be overwhelmed especially if, down the road, testing is involved. Gotta factor in the added pressure.

All i've done is tell you what i did. But, it's disheartening to read that you took the course. I would think that when some one attends the seminar, they would impress upon the participants the need to layer and how to tackle huge books.

I think the Home Study Course could be better than the seminar because you can listen to the tapes over and over again gleening additional insights over an extended period of time...imho..<

good luck and do any and everything you can to take pressure off yourself; you'll never experience success w/ that kind of pressure to perform
