What "width" of blip page is best? I can soften my gaze to the point where the blip page is approx 2 inches wide or I can soften it more so that the blip page is huge at 5-6 inches wide or so.

to the point where you are most relaxed and you arent straining yourself in the least. A blip is a blip, its relaxation that counts.

Mastermind has given good advice. All that matters is that it is there, and the text cannot be read. My friend, whom I taught photofocus, had this same question.

I still don't get how the brain could take something blurry and turn it into letters. I mean...it seems like photofocus would mess up the understanding and waste your time.

you are not consiously focusing on the words, clear is only for consious focus. Blurry is good, blurry is your friend, blurry puts it in the other than conious mind where you want it. How old are you?

It is not really blurry to the inner mind. You do it everyday.. you notice stuff lying around you but your not actually looking at it. When you think about it it is kind of blurry because you are noticing them with the inner mind, not the conscious thinking mind. Like when you walk along looking a something and for some reason you step around a pubble you didn't have to think to yourself 'there is a puddle I must step around it' you just do it. That was you inner mind at work.

Well, its the same with the letters on the page you are focusing your conscious mind on the blip page to get your inner mind to take over the job of noticing the letters on the page. The conscious mind can only register a limited number of facts.. the inner mind can record even more.

It has been shown that under hypnosis people see much more than they are consciously aware of, they are usually able to give a more detailed description, Because they are retieving the information from the inner mind.

So rest assured while it might look blurry to the conscious mind it's perfectly clear to the inner mind.

Hope this answers your question TailetheWise.

Alex

I have the home course and I could be wrong, but I believe he says that seeing the blip page isn't necessary just so long as you don't focus on the words. He suggests seeing the four corners of the book and the whitespace. Any comments? Are there any successful photoreaders out there that don't see the blip page?

Sometimes I don't see the blip page. Usually then I am noticing the four edges. It really depends on what I am concentrating on. It is correct you don't have to see the blip page it just a confidence booster that you are in fact in photofocus... as long as you are not focusing on the words you are in photofocus.

Ironically, I was able to get the blip page by the technique first described on the tapes. I didn't really concern myself that I couldn't hold it at first... after about 3 books I sort of went... hey the blip page is holding. I notice when I think about looking at the 4 edges the blip pages sort of fades... it's there but ghost like.
