Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer I can not make it work

I have been through the tapes twice and I still can't seem to do the dictionary game right. i have tried to photo read the book and nothing ?? Iam takeing a computer course iand i don't have to test till iam ready so i have sat mostr of my classes and i am waiting till i finish all my classes to take the tests . meanwile i thought i would take the photo reading course to help me get throught the book and materal i need to know to pass the test. Iam acording to your stoties the very person you made this photoreading course for?? I just can't seem to make it work .

Don't sweat the dictionary game... it is just a game. My mind kept giving me words that weren't in the dictionary eg kingdom...to me that was weird cause king james bible is in it. After I couldn't find the word placebo in it I tossed it over my shoulder in disgust. I have to admit I had thought before I did the dictionary game that it wasn't a very good dictionary... the game confirmed that for me.

Ok... the point is you don't need to be any good at the dictionary game to get the photoreading system to work. Now tell us how you went with the rest of the course... where you got blocked etc, what worked, what didn't? How did you go with the countdown and tangerine? We'll be glad to help, just need to know where you're stuck... if it's the dictionary game leave it and go on with the rest of the exercises.

well i have been through all the tapes and i have taken notes to look over and when i photo read i lose the blip page when i turn the page . i slide my finger over the top like thay say and turn the page but my hand goes across the page and i lose the blip the X everything .and also dont get anything outof photo reaning i don't feel like any thing seanks in or seeps out i know i feel like an idiot . because the consept is simple and i got this guy walking me through the steps and Iam not able to make it work .I guess i really didn't tell you where Iam stuck but i guess Ireally don't know myself. am i going to fast should i spend more time on each tape? should i go through the all the typs over and over.or Just one at a time till i get that one down and move on to the next one when i get that one down. dose that make any sence.

If you have completed all the tapes and did all the exercises on each one, you are ready to begin PhotoReading.

Use tape 7 as a guide and PhotoRead 7-10 books of your own that you want to read but haven't read yet. Even better, if some of the books are on topics you are interested in but do not know anything about.

Use the system mind map on page 68 of the PhotoReading book as your quick-reference.

Prepare/Preview/PhotoRead and fully activate each book in multiple 30-minute passes until the entire book "gels" and you comprehend it fully. Good luck!

What is do you mean by "gel"? I have just the book...I can't get the tapes right now.

Gel in terms of photoreading.. means reaching the point where the book makes sense... You've answered all the questions you've asked yourself about the book and you have the sort of "I've had enough... I know what I want to know for now feeling.

This is when the book 'gels' and thats the time to let go.

I know exactly how you feel. I also couldn't "make it work". I went over and over and over the book. I studied the system for years before I suddenly just "got it!"

Let me explain it this way. I made soooo many mistakes and started a downward spiral that you have caught before it prevented you from easily learning the system.

First of all, to believe it isn't working is to presuppose or believe in the way You think it should work. The assumption you have about your idea of How it should work might be out of line or incongruent with the way Your Inner Genius wants to make it work for you.

I will explain more in my next post. But think about this, whether you believe it works or doesn't work - you are right.

Think about that and I'll be back tommorrow to write more for you personally to effortlessly get it.
