Last summer I had tried to learn PR. It didn't work for me...I got no results.
I tried a little throughout the school year, but it didn't bare fruit.
This summer I want to learn it, and I will work on it.
What I need to know is whether or not the book leaves out any details I may be missing. I can't really afford the big tape set at the moment.
One question I have is that in school, for instance, when you have to read a chapter in a history book or something. The teacher may give quizzes on the chapters the next day. If you are to look for a specific type of information, then that would mean you could quite easily miss some important detail that you should have known, though it wasnt in your purpose. So, what do you do if the purpose is to know the information in the chapter (instead of just getting an overview of it)?
A question I have for Margaret: Do you need glasses, or do they just help you read? I mean, I don't see how the brain can even subconsciously take a blurry image of a page and turn it into something legible. (The words also seem to go out of focus...beyond legibility when I see the blip page...not just slightly blurry)
One thing that the book does not really emphasize that I keep seeing people mention here is the quiet scene. It merely says at the end of the process of entering the accelerative learning state:
"Imagine yourself in a beautiful, quiet place. Become aware of the soothing sights, sounds, and feelings you experience there. Imagine that an hour of time is elapsing. Let yourself rest comfortably there for a few moments." (42)
It doesn't say anything about making any decisions or affirming anything there. Is there any point other than calming yourself?
I have many other questions, but I do not remember them. (I haven't practiced PR in a while...got frustrated)
