"One question I have is that in school, for instance, when you have to read a chapter in a history book or something. The teacher may give quizzes on the chapters the next day. If you are to look for a specific type of information, then that would mean you could quite easily miss some important detail that you should have known, though it wasnt in your purpose. So, what do you do if the purpose is to know the information in the chapter (instead of just getting an overview of it)?"
Are the details just brought out from the subconscious, the activation step merely acting as a catalyst?
