Sounds like it time to branch out in your PR subjects youngprer. You've identified your weaknesses. Now PR and direct learn the skills you need. Oranization, time management. Make sure that the material contains more than just the planning stages. It's implementing the plan that gets the results.
Maybe PR some material on writing for different purposes too. I'm just guessing that there is something more than you organizing abilities here. I'm one of those people that believes that nothing is hard to learn. There are just different methods for teaching, and they have different efficiencies with different people.
