I would suggest you first get relaxed and PR the whole book (photofocused)

Post view the first chapter... look for the trigger words from chapter headings and subheads... write them down.

Take a break 20 min at least... might get ready getting the stuff you need to do a mind map.

When you are ready to come back to it look at the trigger words... ask yourself questions about those trigger words. (write down you questions at least 3 no more than six.) These might find their way onto the mindmap straight away or later that will depend on how you work.

Then superread & dip to find answers to the questions you formed. Stick within a time limit... depending on the number of pages in the chapter your time could be 20 to 30 minutes. If you find the answers sooner and you probably will add them to you mind map. see if there any more questions, find answers superread and dip again. Stop at the appointed time. Take a 5 min break after break review your mind map.. if you satified you have answered all the questions and understand all your tigger words you're done with that chapter. If not I you feel you have more questions. repeat the superread and dip for finding answers to your questions.

A chapter or book may take 1 or more 30 minute session.. in any case take at least a 20 minute break after 3 x 30min session. You stop when you found what you wanted from the book, you know when you know.

Reserve rapid reading for if you feel you missed something, didn't ask the right question or you feel you need to know more.

For the next chapter it is a good idea if you photoread the chapter preceeding as well as 1 after it before doing it all over again. Questions Superread and dip add to mind map.

Factors to consider... How many chapters... if the chapters are short or long... how much you can handle... a 30 minute session is probably too long for 15 pages so you might want to group chapters. You need to decide if its going to be x number of chapters or x number of pages. Eg activate 150 - 200 pages in 3 30 minute sessions more sessions if you want more out of the text but really only you can determine what is right for you.

Good luck, let us know if you need more information.
