I might have been intelligent but was bored at school... The only subject I did any good in is the one where I had no teacher, I learnt by correspondence. My fellow classmates resented the fact that I never studied for tests... I had the attitude that if I didn't learn it in class in the first place I'm not going to learn it the night before a test. Most of my report cards read
"although an 'average' student... is achieving 'better' than average results". For some reason I still feel insulted. Even then I wondered what would have happened if I had actually made an effort to learn but since I knew I would not continue with my education beyond highschool it seem pointless. I had to leave school at 17 and started working full time and studied for a career over the next 4 years (my diploma is worth zip).

For homework only the math teacher ever assigned any. Continue on from what we did in class for 20 minutes everynight. I usually just ruled off 1/3 of what we did in class and called it homework.

Yep they thought I was weird, generally avoided me.
