handheld cd players have rewind and fast forward buttons. i think the reason you havent discovered it is because the buttons, when pushed once, skip forward or back. if you hold down the button it will simply rewind however long you hold the button. if you dont have those buttons, you need a new CD player, but i dont think they make any without those basic functions, its just sometimes tricky to find them.

If I have to wear headphones with it I prefer tapes... for some reason I have never found a CD player that has the same volume output as a tape player they always fall way short of my requirments. I use CD for ambient listening where the voices don't have to be played into each ear so I don't mind having both.

It seems everyone finds ways to convert them to suit their needs anyway so should LSC why add to the expense of additional reproductions? I'd be really put off if I had to spend money on a portable MP3 player just to make a course mobile. I understand that the Photoreading course will also become available on CD in due time.

well you could always hook up a CD player to your sound system(paraliminal should be with headphones) but you dont have to buy CD's, its a choice. I converted the tapes to CD's but you HAVE TO record in real time, so i had to play all 17 tapes in order to put it on my computer, then i had to edit the .wav files in premiere, then burn a CD of them. MOST people dont have all of these things to use, so i still think they should make tapes and CD's to give people a choice, more freedom, and so they wont have to convert anything or use up so much time or money. some people have tape players, some have cd players, it may be an even half-half split but i know that CD's wont be getting old or replaced anytime soon. mp3 technology is still not as popular or affordable as cds or tapes, and so it wont take over the market for a long time. *edit* i burned 8 CD's of .wav files, i dont have a mp3 cd player or mp3 player.
