Yeah, I never preview anymore unless the material is really dense, and even then I postview instead.
I was playing with a new technique with my brother's book. I'm calling it "bad pr".
Normally during the PR step, you put yourself in a type of state and flip the pages while in photofocus, not looking at any words. During a "bad pr" session, I do everything I normally do, except while in photofocus I glance and pick up trigger words very very quickly, especially names (in the case of my brother, this worked especially well). Then I run several photoflip passes correctly, then activate with combined skitter and rapid reading.
