I'd found this interesting clip from Rex Sikes site and I believe Carolyn Sikes sums it up rather nicely regarding Paraliminals.
"Double induction is where you wear headphones and hear two or more voices saying different things. The script in your right ear is designed to give your left brain a workout and the left ear script works the right hemisphere. Your conscious mind usually becomes confused listening to the two voices and hence, either shuts down (goes into trance, thinks about something else, daydreams, sleeps, etc.) or shuts out one voice and listens to the other voice.
