You could do what I did: Photoread books about improving your memory =)

Actually, I did photoread some sites on how to improve your memory, and I came across mnemonic techniques. At first I dismissed it because it wasn't what I was looking for, then on a whim I tested out the techniques. Not bad, really.

Using pseudonumerology I was able to remember 200 digits of pi in a couple hours. By the end of the week I had over 500 down pat. I was going to go for 1,000, but to be honest with the specific system it wasn't really that big of a challenge, plus the pay off is small; you tell your friends you know 1,000 digits of pi. So what? =/

In any case, the point is there are mnemonic systems out there that are probably just as useful as a photographic memory. I heard one story where Harry Lorraine (sp?) used to have shows displaying how good his memory was. Before each show he would introduce himself to every person walking into the room (about 500 people). At the intermission, as they re-entered the room from the break, he would tell them their names.

That's how good he was, and he didn't have a photographic memory.
