Hi people, After the whole afternoon trying to develop the PhotoFocus technique, i think i'm doing something that looks like it. I noticed that all the time i used the technique that makes you look over the book i lost the blip page when i look to the center of the page, so i decided to do something different: I looked to the center of the page as trying to make a hole on it with my eyes. So everything looked blurred and the blip page appeared... Sometimes it gets wider and the book looks smaller, sometimes it gets thin. Is it the real PhotoFocus? Am I doing right? When i do it, everything around looks blurred, not only the page. Am i getting there or should I back to use the custom technique? Cheers, Suztain

yes, but remember to be relaxed while you are doing this. Make sure that when you are looking through the book you arent causing strain in your eyes.

My eyes don't hurt, but my head looks confused. Sorry to ask so much, but how it works? It's weird since you can't see anything clearly... All I see is a bunch of blurred images. And... Should I see the blip page thin as in the draw in the book or wider? Sometimes I can see three pages of the same size, the book gets smaller. I get so excited when I think in the results I've finished reading the book yesterday. Thanks for everything, Suztain

Yes you're getting it. The width of the blip will be what you find most comfortable. Mostly we find it to be about 1 to 2 inches on average. Congratulations on reaching confusion, it means you're on track. Alex

AlexK, Ok, i've developed PhotoFocus in my 2nd training day. Now i just want to improve it by training with 3d stuff like magic eye I can't find this book here since in live in Brazil. Is there any site with images like that, so i can print and start practicing? Now that i developed the PhotoFocus i'll proceed with the other steps, i'll post my progress as soon as i get something. I almost gave up after a couple of failed attempts to PhotoFocus, but i tried again and again, 'till i get there People, don't give up! Cheers, Suztain

Print them out if you haven't succeeded in seeing them yet. They are harder to view on a computer screen due to most monitor flicker rate. Once you've got the Knack of seeing them on paper seeing them on the computer screen becomes easier because you develop the skill holding the photofocus state better. Alex

the reason why everything is blurry is because in photofocus your point of focus is through the book, at a point on the wall or further away from you than the book. since the book is in the way of what you are focusing on, there is actually nothing for your eyes to focus on. this makes everything out of focus, so what you see is normal. the point of focus may be 5 feet away or 10 feet away, that is what makes the blip page large or small. Paul tells what size his blip page is, so it might be ideal to have it about the same size. i think it was like 1 1/2 in. or something but i dont remember exactly. search www.google.com for 3d images or stereograms or magic eye, you should find plenty of pictures.
