So have you ever got an exam telling you your real IQ? Got a link to this 'more accurate' one? Would like to give it a go.. Seems all these other ones I do are inaccurate.

Krisk, In many books the 11% is the moneys worth , the rest is all fluff. Considering how much we have to do in our lifes isn't it better to bypass the fluff and get the real value asap?

IQ test depend upon who they were written for. In an IQ test for an insect our human minds would fail miserably and the insect would be king. An IQ test designed to highlight a persons artistic skills would make most mathematicans look like they have beans for brains. You cannot compare the unique makeup of a person that makes one an individual solely by numbers.

Did you know that if you give an IQ test to a child of about 6 one day they score genius and the next they score dunce? It just given their mood on how they want to play with those test. Why do we believe as we get older that our "don't feel like it" temperments disappear? (Well we are creative and renamed it procastination).

Our ability to procastinate also refects how we would score on a so called IQ test. If the test is a score that opens the door to something that interests you, you'll do your best, to get the best score you can. If you haven't undermined yourself with I can't thinking. Whatever the number it matters little if you don't use the skills you have that make you an individual.

Have you ever wanted to prove to your friends how brainy you really are? Have you ever wanted to know if Sydney is smarter than Melbourne or whether Tasmania beats the mainland? Maybe you've wanted to measure yourself against a celebrity.

Sure, blondes have more fun - but could it be possible they're smarter than everyone else ?

This is the show for you. It gives you a personal result - and a snapshot of the state of the nation. Test Australia is the biggest single IQ test ever held in Australia. It is a unique event held simultaneously on TV and the Internet. Internet results will be collated to provide more general statistics, but people not connected to the Net can still measure their own IQ by participating with scorecards issued by Woman's Day or even just with pencil and paper at home.
Find out more about the show.

I find this amusing. Personally, iq tests with english vocab usage like synonyms or word construction doesnt really interest me and it doesnt show the real intelligence of people. If you want a totally fair iq test that would probably grasp some of your brain power, such as logic pattern recog, etc, try culture-fair iq tests, with pictures or mathemtical ones, its more accurate. However... AlexK, try to watch the movie "Good Will Hunting" a great example of that guy who had photo-graphic memory.

hey Krisk, i went to the page on national iq stuff, and there was this mental gym page. Did you try it? Its amazingly inaccurate to consider for considering people "smart". I hope the iq test doesnt come out like that if not Australia Mensa has to keep up with the admissions of people cramming in!

Ah movies... entertaining to be sure. If it actually showed the how to have a photographic memory that would be something. As it is it's an ideal base on a creative writers inspirations.

If it possible to have a photgraphic memory... perhaps my posting the correct page number for some information from the PR book is a sign that its possible... I got the book today and checked if I got the page right since no-one posted to confirm it, cool hey?

I know this may sound dumb, but can PhotoReading increase your IQ? Because I recently read in an article on the Internet that reading increases your IQ, and if you PhotoRead you could get the comprehension of a book faster and better than regular reading (or so I've heard). So, I'm wondering, can PhotoReading in a way increase your IQ?
