I can see the blip page, however I cannot see the X everyone, including Paul, is referring to. I believe I can achieve the photofocus state and maintain it long enought to finish a book, but I can not see the X. And exactly how fast must I turn the pages? Every second?

you dont actually see the X, you just imagine an X connecting the four corners of the book. It isnt like the blip where the blip shoots over when you focus directly to achieving the blip. You may achieve the blip by imagining the X.

Turn the page roughly one page every 1 to 2 seconds. Use the chant to keep the pace steady. If you can see the blip page don't worry about the imaginary x thing. That is just an alternative method to get into photofocus.
