Eh guys, how do you do the tangerine effect?

Maybe that's not the correct way to ask that question, but I'm having trouble getting the technique to work.

When you visual it, can you actually feel it or anything like that at all?

I don't think I've been able to do this at all, and I'm not trying to struggle to get this, but even though I feel more calm sometimes, I haven't been able to really use this technique or visual the tangerine.

PLZ HELP!

BTW, I have the photoreading book.

When I first started using the tangerine
technique I would actually touch the back of my head and hold it there. Now I just have to close my eyes and think that I am touching the same spot , and a wave (the best way I can explain the feeling)seems to flow from my brain.

Perhaps someone else can better explain the feeling.

I find that the following method is a decent substitute.

I now completely forgot who first stated this one, though I think it was allen (if I'm wrong, will the real person please say so).

Slowly close your eyes and roll your eyes upward, and pretend you're staring through the top of your skull at the ceiling. Breath calmly, and after about 15 seconds, you should emerge in a state similar to the one the tangerine technique puts you in.

Works for me, anyway.

Physically just moving your eyes slighly up 20 degrees above the horizontal plane of vison is enough to stimulate more alpha with eyes open. Use your imagination to 'look' through the top of your skull... no need to move the eyes to point of discomfort.

Also for getting information out of your inner mind during activation a similar method can be employed. Draw your eyes up toward the center of your forehead... or rather in you minds eye focus through that point, project your vision out in front of your 2 to 6 feet... that area is often refered to as the third eye and by focusing there you are opening up toward images that came from your inner mind. Drawing your inner focus to that area is also useful if you are attempting image streaming.

Alex I think you have mentioned before about the "third eye".. can you explain more about it and what is image streaming?

Thanks

Image streaming is taught in the Genius Code course and in the book the Einstein Factor. It is a method by which we can probe the inner mind for information and can be applied to activation of our reading material to gain a visual interperation of the material. You sit back close your eyes and decribe the images that come to your minds eye. To get a really good guided tour of the how to of the image streaming process and other mind probing techniques I highly recommend the Genius Code course.

I have mentioned the "third eye" before without going into any detail about it because of it's esoteric allusions. However since you've asked I'll gladly explain. The third eye is about 1/2 inch above the eyebrows over the bridge of the nose. When you take your mental awareness to that point you are able to develop or notice fleeting visual images your inner sight. The dreams that you have at night occur at this point. To test the location of your own inner eye, do this. Look at something that you can easily recall with your eyes closed. If you are already a good visualiser then just imagine it. Close your eyes and keep projecting that image out in front of you. Then with your eyes closed point to that image then draw your finger slowly to the point where you see that image. Most people who are good at recalling a visual image will point to a location somewhere between their eyes. There is a gland that is associated with the third eye seated about there.

By deliberately focusing through that point away from your body you trigger the inner mind to tell you what it knows by providing visual information. So if you want to activate a book and you want to see what images come up for you draw your attention to your third eye area and look outward from your forehead and see what happens.

This technique is highly effective if you are a visual person. Like the VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesic) models of NLP that connect with the conscious thinking process, there is a VAKL (visual, auditory, kinesic and Lightning - my interpetation of that location) focus point for connecting to your inner mind.

Well, not third eye "technique" but image streaming, anyway...
