What I meant to say was that by reading fast you are probably exceeding the 126 bits of information that the conscious mind can accomodate allowing much of the information to be absorbed by the subconscious. Also for those who are concerned with reaching the photofocus state. Its as easy as defocusing the eyes(automatic alpha). The only way you can do it wrong is to be concerned with whether you're doing it right. I have meditated for over 25 years so I was very familiar with the alpha-theta state. Reading upside down allows you to bypass the clumsy,uptight,analysis paralysis generating left brain. Hope I've unmuddled my words(left brain, again) somewhat.
