like the topic says i'm goin to start attending university of washington at the end of the summer.
i got the photoreading course around the beginning of senior year(highschool) last year so about a year ago. i went through all the tapes but i didn't put my all in it and felt nothing productive was coming out of following the processes. pretty soon the photoreading course ended up in my closet. anyways, i've pulled out the system and am starting over again, hopefully i can establish a strong foundation in utilising photoreading before college starts, but anyhoo, just wanted to say thanks-after reading several posts, you guys's successes with photoreading have encouraged me to pull out the system and give it an honest try!

Welcome to the forum! Just do the exercises as you listen to the tapes that way you start building on your success' early.

No, my friend.

If you really want to learn it the right way, let it soak overnight. Once you get a little success with it, bump it up to 20 minutes, then after you have consistent success drop incubation altogether.

But if you're just starting out, take the necessary pauses. Try not to get too excited either; just stay relaxed but alert.

When I started out, a huge bump in the road I had was as soon as I got some good activation going, I'd mentally say, "This is GREAT! It's WORKING!" but then I'd lose my flow, drop all focus, and not get enough out of it. Once you do it a lot, however, it just kinda becomes "normal", and that's when your success rate jumps up again.

Of course, once your success rate jumps up you get all excited again, so there's a couple bumps until you level off

Slow and steady wins the race. Once you have the foundation, go at "hare" speed and PR your books like a mofo.
