I've had the PR'ing course for a couple of months now and I have been trying to PR at least one book a week. With all the travelling I do, I don't often get the chance to do this(all the travelling I do is by car and is a minimum of 4 hours so that cuts into the day).

Anyway, I decided I would tackle Lord of the Rings last night. This is one of the longest books that I had PR'd to date. I put in tape number seven to help and I found I went through the entire book in less then the 5 minutes allocated. It was like I was possesed! Near the end of the book I noticed some odd responses that my body was having. First I had a sinking feeling, then my eyes began to water (not sure about tears) and my nose was burning. I haven't activated the book yet so I am wondering what caused the responses? I was planning on watching the movie to see how much of it was familar, but now I think I will be activating it this weekend, after it has a good while to incubate.

Also what is the best why to activate a book that you are reading for pleasure? I found that when activate a book I read for pleasure I tend to use rapid reading quite a lot and a little bit of super reading and dipping.

Thanks...

NOOO STOP don't watch the movie to activate! It's well made, but it doesn't really follow the original storyline (see the crappy wizard-fight et al.).
I would really recommend reading the lord of the rings slowly to really immerse yourself in the plot ... well at least I prefer to.
cheers

I tend to rapid read novels for pleasure since I usually want to spend more time with the book anyway usually no superreading or dipping. I get more information out of the book by rapid reading after photoreading the book than I used to do by regular reading.

It might have been more fun to see if you could have had a dream in relation to the book by photoreading it just before going to bed.

Assess your reaction when you do rapid read the book. You might have had some distinct feelings in relation to the storyline. So check what you're feeling while you are reading the book. You could get a sense of recognition about part of the book may have triggered you physical reaction.
