Hi Dana ( or anybody who can help ),
I completed 4 tapes and first book in the home PR course. I think I am not doing something right in Photoread part. May it is just a matter of practice. Is it the best time to have Dana walk me through the system or should I wait and finish all the tapes?
If this is the right time to call, what preperations would make the walk through efficient? In fact, even if I have to wait till I finish all the tapes, if someone can post the prepeartions required/suggested, I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
:confused

Just continue right on thru all the tapes.

When you have finished, take 2-3 days off and let it incubate. Even if you feel like trying some more, don't. Let it all sink in.

Then before you begin again w/ tape 1, ask yourself what comes to mind. Don't TEST yourself, just ask what comes to mind that you now know & did not know before you did it.

You are overwhelmed w/ all the new info and techniques. That's all. Figure, 6 months from now, you'll be just fine. Don't put any pressure on yourself. NOPS as Paul says. Play w/ it means, do it but don't put pressure on yourself by saying: I have to be really good at PhRin next week

Rather, say this: I'm going to enjoy this new stuff. I'm going to take my sweet time & learn it and practice it. It'll all work out just fine.

There are 5 steps. The next time you go thru the course, make it a point to really learn each step. Prepare is such a simple but fascinating step. There's a post down where someone is thrilled w/ the tangerine technique and his pool game. This simple stuff is far-reaching.

After learning the Prepare step, i try to stay in a peripheral gaze as much as possible. It has helped me solve problems at work, find lost objects and notice fleeting thoughts.

Good luck and enjoy yourself even as you learn and are confused. Let it be excitement and adventure knowing that you'll find the pot of gold for sure 1 year from now.

The very best thing about PhRing and Paul's system is that once you really learn it, it never goes away. Other things lessen w/o practice. Not so w/ PhRing. Yes, you need to practice a whole lot in the beginning. I PhR 7-10 books a day for months while activating only a few. But, i practiced like hell the PhRing technique which includes the gaze, turning pages smoothly, getting the 45 degree angle, the right lighting so that no shadows interferred, keeping myself relaxed for the full time, belly breathing the whole time, and lastly opening myself up for intuitive thoughts during PhRing .........I MEAN THAT ALL TOOK MONTHS....but it was fun and i got immediate benefits from other areas in the course.

Like drinking WATER and CROSS CRAWLING and taking charge of my reading material. I determine how much time i'll spend w/ any given material. It was like getting freed from prison when i realized i could take charge. I always felt guilty if i didn't read every page of every book.

enjoy your adventure in PhRing

Hi Margaret and Photoreaders:

There is a major problem here. I am not a very big reader. I don't read that many books. My interest in reading is low. It has been that way all throughout my life. This fact probably hurt my education in my younger days.

I do try to do photoreading but finding a book is difficult for me. I am not very interested in fiction and technical stuff puts me to sleep.

I have discovered that I do have an inner mind but the conscious mind always talks way louder. I also have discovered "lucid dreaming" but I have to turn in at about 10 P.M.(hard to do that early) but lucid dreams are so real, going to bed early is a small sacrifice.

I think I am onto something good but I just have to find it. I think there is a breakthough somewhere but it isn't happening.
I want to read more and feel that it could augment my life in really positive ways. Even reading more fiction could help.
Can you recommend some books to start with? I have read Paul Scheele's book "Natural Brilliance" with a little success. I am more concerned with Photoreading right now. The other stuff can wait. I have listened to the tapes 2 times. Something is here, but I don't know what. The human brain is very mysterious. Any ideas?

Regards

Neil

You sound alot like me when I first started to PR. I had been out of school for over 20 yrs and reading wasn't a thing that I enjoyed!

NOW I love reading my only problem is that I run out of books too fast and have to keep going out to get more

Hang around this site there is always some one talking about this book or that one

Go easy on yourself, find one subject you like, no just try anything that grabs your attention

just my 2 cents

Neil,

Grab a book or 2 on the topic that interests you Lucid dreams and dreaming. Photoread a book on dreams and see if you can activate it in your dreams. Play with it. Yes the mind is mysterious and there a many books on that subject too. Go with what sparks your curiosity.

Alex
