Well, it might have been the booze talking (literally), but you might have experienced waking hypnogogic sensations after waking, which could happen. I heard one story where this guy kept dreaming after he woke up - he dreamt about little people who lived in the earth, and then he woke up and in every dark space he saw these little people for, like, the next three hours. =) I'm not sure if the paraliminals played any role in perpetuating this, though.
