Hi everyone! Im thinking about getting these photoreading tapes but, as Im only 14, it will cost me pretty much all of my money. So theres a few things Id like to know first. To begin with; does it really work? I know thats probably a daft question to ask coz ull all say yes, but does it work for everyone? Roughly how long does it take to learn? And will it be easy enough for someone my age to understand? Also, the main reason I want to get this is for help revising for my GCSEs, which Im taking next year. How much will it help if Im able to do it? OH and also, do you need a credit card to order the tapes and stuff, coz I havent got one and the chances of my mum letting me use hers are pretty slim  Err, Im sure I had more questions but I cant think of them right now. Go to the thread "What feels like normal-maybe going 120MPH" dated Aug23, 2002 and read the whole thread. I think that should answer most of your questions.
Regarding a credit card, just call the toll free for LSC and ask how they accept payments,money order etc.(anytime I've talked with them they have always been very pleasent to deal with ) Feel free to ask as many questions as you need to.

Laura, Are you going to be taking the GCSEs in the UK? If you're in the UK, then the tollfree no. to call probably won't be free for you. But you can email LSC with any questions you have about their programs and payment possibilities at Info@LearningStrategies.com Youngprer and Mastermind are both teenagers, using PR successfully for their school work. You can do a search for their postings. They are both very helpful and generous with sharing their experiences with PR.

Remember to compare prices... http://www.lifetools.com/ is based in England, they also sell the PR course. Check the conversion rate, import tax and duty it may cost a bit more if you buy from one or the other. Though buying from the English supplier might be easier for you. Alex

Ive checked lifetools and the prices work out at pretty much the same, problem is Im too young for a credit card or to write cheques so Ill have to persuade my mum to do it for me... but she thinks the whole thing's a con and a waste of money etc etc.

Laura, start with the book, all the info from the course is in the book. Along with the forum a lot of folks have manage to learn with just the book. That being the cheapest option for starters. Check the local book shops they can order it in for you if they haven't got it. It being an 8 tape course I can understand your mums concerns. A lot of people start courses like these but never finish them. Those that really want to learn will learn it anyway they can. So good luck. Alex

Book learning is a little harder fo some. Younger folks usually find it a bit easier because they are more open to learning. It might take a little longer with just the book since the tapes guide you through the process. You'll be able to PhotoRead before you get your first credit card if you give it a fair go. The forum can help expain a bit more when you're not sure about something and a bit of enthusiasm helps.  PhotoReading by Paul Scheele, M.A.

Well I cetainly dont have a problem with the enthusiasm, but do you think Ill be able to photoread well enough to help with revising before June, which is when I take my exams???

Laura, the answer to do you think Ill be able to photoread well enough to help with revising before June, is, yes. Be sure to use this df for all your questions. Read the book thru and put it down for a couple days. Then start w/ one part at a time. Like learn the PREPARE step. By this i mean you have to be able to say out loud what the PREPARE step is and how to do it without using the book for hints. Next, be sure to practice it so that it's really easy to remember to do and it feels just right to you. Then move on to the next step. I hope you do learn it because you are the first teenage girl to try--i think. There are very few teenage girls out there interested in PhRing. So, you're unique & i'm sure all these teenage boys here will be dying to help you. These guys are amazing.
