When reading the 'Natural Brilliance' book I felt as though I was reading about myself when I read about Bob. The man who thought seminars/books/tapes would 'fix' his problem. All along it was him who had to fix himself. My only problem is that I can't figure out how to do that.

I've found the Natural Brilliance book very difficult to wrap my mind around. Maybe because it all seems so simple, or maybe because I'm resisting the changes I need to make. I'm very big on oscillation, I do it in every aspect of my life. I rarely do anything completely and wholly without oscillation. I have no idea where to even start. I'm at a point in my career where I can continue tread water or I can swim. If I want to swim, I must learn to program (either perl or C) and/or must increase my networking knowledge to become one of the guru's. Preferably I'd do both of these tasks. What this will bring to my life is, increased responsibility, increased respect from company/co-workers, higher salary, and possibly a different career in other departments. It all sounds too good to be true, does it not? I haven't figured out if I'm afraid of change, afraid of failing, or afraid of being rejected if I try to move ahead.

I'd rather not purchase the NB course because I'm afraid of being more and more like Bob. Spending money to 'fix' problems, and never really fixing them.

Suggestions?

Do the course.

But, before you do,

1) Commit to yourself that you will complete the course within two weeks of receiving it.

2) Mark one hour on your calendar on six different days where you will absolutely listen to the tapes. One tape a day.

3) Mark your calendar for 24 days after the day you order the course. If you haven't used the course or if you haven't benefited, you have three choices: get in gear and do it, call for free coaching, or return it.

The course is good. Do it now and benefit for a long time.

Pete,

I don't have the course. I only have the book since it came with the PhotoReading course. I was looking at Natural Brilliance last night and comparing it to Ideal Mindset. Does IM use the same principles as NB? I'm having a hard time with the NB which is why I'm wondering if it's possible the IM might be better.

Thanks

Based on what you have written, I would go with Natural Brilliance. No doubt in my mind.

The course includes six Paraliminal sessions designed specifically for Natural Brilliance so that you thoroughly integrate and employ the four-step model.

The course simply focuses on the four steps. The book goes into much, much more detail. And the course is much easier to use.

Tracey,
You'll not be disappointed in the NB course. I have used it twice & both times have achieved terrific results. First time, i ended up a 1 performer at work (at this time it's been 3 yrs. in a row). Second time, i am now scheduled to do 2 workshops this summer for elementary teachers.

I only needed to do tape 1 & then tape 6 followed by tape 2 the second time. What this says is that i did not even need to do the entire course again to get results.

I have been listening to the A sides on my way to work & have gleened some additional info that will help me lots for my workshop. There is just wonderful info on the A side of all the tapes. It's really impossible to assimilate all the info that is presented. Nice to say: Once we have the course, we can listen at our leisure.

Good luck

Margaret,

I agree. I listened to all four A sides twice today during four hours of driving (second time I've done this). There is a great deal of value there, even without the paraliminals (I never realized how much tension I carry in my body until listening to the Release tape. Now I cycle through my body periodically just to loosen things up again). Just like the PR tapes, there are many things that are missed on initial listenings.

I haven't rigorously applied the set yet, but an interesting side effect I've noticed is a preparation step before doing tasks around the house. Where I would typically just jump in and end up having to do things over, I've noticed a pause before I start these tasks to consider what could most probably go wrong. I seem to be applying the steps without realizing. The time and frustration I have saved has been very impressive. Although I had noticed these events, it wasn't until I listened to the tapes again today that I could see where it was coming from.

Sorry if this is somewhat off topic. I was just looking around here for info on the NB course/book. When you mentioned having to learn perl/c I thought I'd suggest an alternative, python. I'm not sure what kind of work you are doing, if it's admin then you will need to learn some perl. But I've been wanting to do more programming for a long time and it wasn't till I found python that I actually did it. The philosophy is nice also. take care.
