I understand your problem and it is rather common. The best way I found to deal with it is just do it. Gain the benefits and just keep moving on ahead. Once people notice that you are achieving results surpassing theirs they become curious. That's when you slowly 'show' them what you are doing.
I had a teacher that told taught us "Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see." Fact is we didn't need to be told that, it seems to be a natural reaction from people.
So keep it to yourself while you are still mastering it, so as to allow yourself space to get comfortable with the system first. Being criticized at this point cannot benefit you. So, only say something when someone notices that you are doing something different and asks about it, then casually let them know. You'll have many more wanting to know about the system when you find yourself producing personally satisfying results.
