please share your testimonies on experiences of photoreading; i posted a couple weeks ago that i started the course over again. i'm getting really good results when sr and dipping(getting 30 pages read in 5 min as opposed to 5) but i always feel as if specifically the photoreading step is coming up short. maybe i'm expecting too much? anyways, i'd like to hear you guys's successes! thanks,

o yea, one more thing, i have about a month before i start my first day at the university of washington. i have already purchased my textbooks: calculus-early transcendentals by james stewart
principles of microeconomics by roy ruffin
chemical principles by zumdahl keeping in mind that i have 30 days left, can anyone devise or suggest a plan to go about the next 30 days studying with photoreading? i've flipped through the books and oh man, they look pretty darn boring, help! tj

tj, If you got the Personal Genius tape now is a good time to give it a work out. As well as the memory supercharger. PR the books daily if you want and see what happens no need for activation really until classes start. As for kicking out that 'they look pretty darn boring' bug.  Have a look why you think they are boring. Too easy, boring? Too challenging, boring. Or they just don't trigger any excitement, boring? Is there anything that you can do to change that? Change the way you perceive them can make things a lot easier. It will be excellent practice on just the photoreading step to PR those 3 books daily for a week. As for success, I've already posted a couple of mine. The experiment/test and one I called get someone to quizz you. Also check out youngprer going 120 miles per hour link. It's worked great for me. I used to have troubles with my mind trailing off when I read something but not anymore. My mind would also trail off during lectures and I wouldn't ever know what's going on. Now I can focus in a lecture and walk in thier already knowing what the main concepts and some their deatails are whith only about 15 to 30 minutes of preparation, depending on how well I want to know the info. This is a big leap for me because I used to struggle so hard in school and when people would call me stupid and stuff I would think to myself they were just born lucky and how would they feel if they were to try their hardest at something and still fail. But now it's all clear I focus on what needs to be done to succeed and getting a good grade in school isn't just completely look to me anymore, I feel like their actually is something I can do about it.

dah, hi guys, perhaps i was overestimating my yet unformed capabilities as a photoreader but this is what i did today: my friend needed to find the word for the definition of a person who seeks acceptance of society employing any means necessary and so i went, prepared and photoread the dictionary for that specific word. came back a couple hours later to the dictionary and prepared, then sr/dipped by kinda flipping through the pages. nothing comes up so i sit down after a short bit, close eyes, relax and try to imagine the word i'm looking for. again to no avail. i don't know if you guys have ever tried something like this, but anyhoo, can anyone who is an experienced photoreader try this out and see if you get results?

BTW; I was PRing the reverse Dictionary. While flipping the pages I was prompted to keep a page with my finger and while I continued to photoread the word came to my mind. I looked back at the page I was holding and read the word. Had to Laugh

Hi TJ I normally take to learning like a duck takes to Macrame cord weaving, but yeah, I'm really getting somewhere with PhotoReading. I havn't been PhotoReading long, maybe only two weeks, but I know it's starting to work. I think the key is to go in open minded, be playful, and follow the instructions. I was dubious at first - I couldn't get the 'blip' because I have very little sight in my right eye. I have to admit I'm finding scanty results in manually activating the information, but after two weeks, who cares? It'll happen! Three things have really impressed me so far. Firstly, I have been PhotoReading about four Social Psychology text books a day (I'm studying Human Communication here in the UK), and although I can't manually activate the information(yet), I have begun finding answers to communication problems in my personal life, and I've started to pick a up *lot* more subtle NVC cues. The effect has actually been quite dramatic for a beginer. Just lately comms theories that I havn't even heard of pop into my mind. I kinda think to myself that I'd just made the theory up, until I go back to the books and find it! Secondly, when I PhotoRead books that I manually read years previously, as a refresher, a LOT of theory I'd forgotten has become clearer in my mind. And thirdly, I went into the library and PhotoRead a few novels last week just for fun and practice. Each time I read a novel, I pick up more and more vibes and get a 'feel' for the book.
