I use all normal activation techniques such as superreading, and dipping - for the most part - and recently:I've fallen in love with mind mapping. In fact, most of the time, however, I don't really spend that much time previewing. Most of the time, I skip that step.

However, for stuff like learning Spanish or any other foreign language, using RR, and Previewing can come in very handy. I often Rapid Read novels after a very small activation period, making the information a lot more "story like" and enjoyable, and not just the same old information. With novels, I don't like taking it in like everything else, I love to spend around 2 hours for something like a 280 page novel.

But for books like the PhotoReading book, with little cool subtitles and pics and stuff like that, I would definitely recommend not so much Rapid Reading.

I've been using the PhotoReading Whole Mind System for about close to a year now. (Probably around 10 months), and I must say I can slowly see my speed getting faster and faster. 20 years from now - I'll be a Pete, I'm thinking.
