This will be a long answer. I am a clergyman and I read voluminously in varied fields: science, philosophy, history, humor and of course theology. The techniques taught here are not to be classified in the traditional sense of reading. You learn an approach to preparation and fast scanning and surveying any print material that is effective. They also teach a method for "soft" viewing that is effective with PRACTICE. It seems impossible but with practice it does work in an interesting way that you "know" material you never read in the traditional sense. Now, I would not recommend this to a student who needs to study literature or if you wish to read for enjoyment of phrasing as in Shakespeare's work. However, to read material to get the basic ideas, or if you have specific information that you seek in a particular piece of printed matter this method is effective. (My wife who is a Psychologist and was an English major in undergraduate work is more than skeptical toward this method.) My other advice is to look for other people who have bought the course on ebay and ask them their opinion.
