Is there an easy way to overcome the fear of missing information when super reading and dipping? For some reason I almost feel like everything in the book will be important.

That's a great question. It really affected me when i was learning and still does to some extent.

I'm sure it did the same to Paul b/c he tells the story about a seminar where they all activated a book, a complicated book, in a very short time. On the plane back he went thru the entire book and found that they had, in fact, gotten all the key points. <<<< So, that's how to know You go back over the whole book & verify what you activated.

That's what i've done countless times. I usually find either none or a couple things i missed. This book on NLP i'm doing right now. I PhR it & marked all the stuff in dry highlighter pencils. It took me no time to do this. As i read it now, i did get all the salient points. I just didn't trust the speed of what i did earlier. I told myself that i really needed to just read this book to get it. Truthfully, i was afraid that i'd missed important stuff.

Plan on several activation passes and tell yourself that the first pass is just to familiarize yourself with the topic. That way you'll let yourself let go of the less important things, and if you want you can go back and pick them up later.

I find that reminding myself that I have photoread the book and that means I 'have already' got all the important information from the book in my inner mind. Helps me to hone in when superreading and dipping afterall... all I am really doing is bringing it to conscious awareness. It's already in my inner mind so how can I say I have missed the important information?

Since I began doing that I found myself pulling more information from my inner mind from the book both through superreadin and dipping and just by thinking about the book.

I guess it boils down to accepting the fact that when we photoread the information goes in and if that is true... how can you miss anything?

Alex
