The photoreading phase seemed to have made it easier for me grasp the words. I never really thought about it till now you asked the question since I photoread everything before reading it. Given that my overall comprehension of written German has improved, Yes there is an improvement. Given that photoreading plonks it in my inner mind to work out for me before I consciously need to worry about it. It sure seems a lot easier to read now
