I have been getting strange headaches lately. Last night I prepared, previewed, and photoread twice (upside down and rightside up) a book at about 8:30pm. That night I had a headache on the right side of my head (hmm, right brain?) the entire night until I went to sleep at around 12am. Now, 5pm, I have a headache in the left side of my brain after previewing a second time and photoreading for my third time the same book about 15 minutes ago. Does this happen to anyone else?

Also, I seem to get very frustrated while turning the pages in my book and my legs are very very very restless while photoreading. When I turn the pages sometimes I have to squeeze a bit to separate them and it gets really frustrating trying to keep state, chant, and tear pages apart. I know that you shouldnt worry about it pages getting stuck but I get worried anyways, and it unrelaxes me :/. I don't know what's going on with my legs, but when I'm photoreading I want to just get up and run off or something. I'm not reading a book that would give me these kinds of emotions, this is a restless feeling I have when doing other things, like sitting in a chair at school.

I'm photoreading "How to Study" by Ron Fry if anyone might need to know.

Don't worry about turning clumps of pages together. Just continue to keep the state, chant, and page turning. Say that you missed quite a many pages when you started with the book upside down, when you turn the book right side up, the pages that you missed you will get them. Now you've missed different pages this time around with the book right side up. When you turn the book upside down again, you will pick up the pages that you missed previously when the book was right side up. Each time you go through another pass with the book, you will pick up missed pages. After three or four passes, I then fan the pages of the book (photoflipping as some call it) to pick up additional info that was still missed. I hope this will help with your page turning dilemma.

Make sure you drink plenty of water when photoreading... avoid caffine products... If the headaches are associated with photoreading them it probably means you need more water to keep you brain hydrated while it goes to work in the processing mode.

Allow yourself to get a little more relaxed when you enter the accelerative learning state. If you decide to photoread the book rightway up and upside down you're definately covering all your bases so missing pages won't hurt. With regular reading we often miss more without realising it... our minds wonder while we are reading so sometimes we miss a page or two that way too.

Whem it came to restlessness my brother had the same difficulty we could never get him to sit still. What helped him overcome this problem was learning the Silva method and using that 3 times a day for a while.

You don't need to learn the Silva Method. Just practice going into the accelerated learning state (3 to 1 ideal place) procedure a couple of times a day away from photoreading. Do it alone. for affirmation just state something like... everytime I enter this state I become calm, relaxed and mentally focused on the task before me. Add a couple you might enjoy like Photoreading comes easy for me I find myself enjoying the benefits of my new skill more each day. When you're ready to come out of the accelerative learning state just tell yourself... When I open my eyes I will feel wide awake, alert and refreshed. Count yourself up from one to 5 (bit like the paraliminals but you may go faster if you want )
