When i go about Super-reading and dipping my material i always run into a problem. I know that you're saposed to be conciously looking at the words and running your eyes down the page but i have two ways of doing this. This is hard to explain, but if i relax my eyes on a page (any page)of text, certain words pop out. Sometimes my eyes recognize a path of white space leading to a word or something. I can't quit tell what's going on, but some words attract my attention (i'm sure Alex is able to explain this perfectly hehe). For example, just a second ago i stared at a capital T in The for maybe 15 seconds or so. Suddenly another capital T popped out a little ways down the page, and i kept seeing new T's as i followed the path. So back to the point: when i'm super-reading/dipping should i be conciously reading the few words in the middle of the page until i see a word that makes me think something important is around it? Or should i move my eyes down the page and focus my concious mind on my peripheral vision? PS. I can't really move my eyes while doing the technique i described above with the T's, i have to stare at the page. PS #2: when "moving" your eyes down the page, do you go line by line specifically? or just try to move your eyes in as smooth a motion as possible? ANYWAY THANKS A LOT FOR ANY COMMENTS.
