i dont know if I'm doing this right. Because the effect I see is what I see when i cross my eyes. Is photo focus "like" crossing the eyes?
Thanks.

Try this:

1.fix your sight far in front

2.put the book through it, upside down, don look at the book, still maintain your fokus far in front, through the book.

3.don care about the x, nor the blip, nor white space, jus notice the 4 corners.

4. maintain and start PR.

you will get it soon.

The aim is to use parallel focus when photoreading its explained on tape 3 of the course.

When you have photofocus on the book you'll get a blip page. have a look at this link for what it looks like.
http://www.learningstrategies.com/forum/ubb/Forum8/HTML/002421.html

Tips for additonal for getting this focus see this link...
http://www.vision3d.com/3views.html
It explains parallel vision and has some links at the bottom for how to get into the 3D focus.

If you still have problems with focusing on words turn the book upside down. The X technique is imaginary. Your visual awareness should be on the 5 points of the imagninary X. That is, you should be able to notice the 4 outer corners of the open book while looking at the point where the X would cross. To do this successfully you need to soften your gaze and let it move toward a parallel focus.

Ease up on yourself... Allow the confusion that you are experiencing while learning the system to be a signal that you are in fact learning something that is new to you. Know that at some point you are going to have the Ah hah experience work with a sense of curiosity of when that experience might just occur for you. You are doing it right, the frustation is just something inside of you telling you that you haven't quite got it yet. Be patient with yourself, some of the steps take practice till you feel a sense of true mastery.
